This is not a chapter from the book, but I have conferred Roman Numeral status upon myself because I can. These are some of my thoughts on and from the book. I actually recorded this, in name if not content, a few times. As is often the way with such things, this is Take 01. It is brief (for me) and emotional, but it is good, rather sufficient to the task. There is a lot more to say, and that’s why I did a second take. But then that was too dry and wandering, so I did a third take. Then I walked away and came back later and Take 01 was the best, in my estimation.
There is a lot more to be said on Origins & Progress, and it is my fervent hope that someone with a sharp mind and a big audience stumbles upon either these recordings or the the book itself. Oliver’s words and life deserve to be remembered and discussed. The caliber of man & mind is a substantial chunk of the bedrock, the foundation, upon which our collective excellence rests. His informed, first hand perspective of a mythological precursor gives us the opportunity blend our myths anew, should we need or want to.
I’d like for you to think about this a bit, I’d like for you to read the book, and I’d love for you to stick around for the next book.
Thank you, sincerely, for your attention in this matter.
